Abstract
L’IDAST (Iniziative Demo Antropologiche e di Storia orale Toscane) ha condotto un censimento degli archivi orali toscani per conto della Regione Toscana. Il censimento nasce con il proposito di individuate le fonti orali prodotte da storici, ricercatori, appassionati realizzate nei contesti e per i fini più diversi. In questo ambito e per una precisa scelta metodologica le fonti prese in considerazione non hanno subito nessun vaglio: né per quanto riguarda la tipologia né per quanto riguarda i soggetti produttori. L’intento era quello di fotografare l’esistente cercando di fornire una mappa della ricerca sul campo in Toscana. II lavoro, che per adesso ha prodotto circa 120 schede per altrettanti ‘archivi’, è stato compiuto da diversi schedatori ai quali l’IDAST ha assegnato un territorio di ricerca.
IDAST (Iniziative Demo Antropologiche e di Storia orale Toscane – Tuscan Projects on Oral History and Anthropology) is conducing a survey of Tuscan archives of oral testimonies, on demand of the Tuscan regional administration. The survey is intended to assess the picture of oral documentation produced under distinct circumstances and for the most various ends by historians, researchers, and devotees. To such an end, and as the result of a specific methodological approach, IDAST has chosen not to operate any kind of selection of the existing documentation, nor on a typological basis or on one founded on the subjects who produced the object of the survey. IDAST thus aims at giving a real picture of existing data, as well as at delivering a map of field research endeavors in Tuscany. The survey has so far produced about 120 files corresponding to the same number of ‘archives’ visited. The work has been assigned to a team of researchers, each one engaged in the survey of a specific area.
