Abstract
Nei primi anni Settanta del Novecento, all’indomani della realizzazione delle Regioni secondo il dettato costituzionale, la nozione di bene culturale venne estesa alle testimonianze del lavoro agricolo, artigiano e industriale, divenute oggetto di raccolta e di esposizione in seguito al repentino processo che aveva trasformato la fisionomia agricola dell’Italia postbellica in quella di un moderno paese industriale. L’IBACN si inserì attivamente fin dai primi tempi nel dibattito sugli aspetti didattici e museografici connessi al fenomeno, portando avanti con coerenza la linea del censimento, della catalogazione e della manutenzione, oltre che della formazione professionale. L’inventariazione e la catalogazione del patrimonio museale vennero avviate fin dai primi anni Ottanta, e, parallelamente, vennero organizzati corsi di manutenzione e restauro del legno e del metallo, e anche sulle metodologie del restauro del patrimonio edilizio rurale. Contemporaneamente, e con criteri metodologici simili, si è svolta una notevole attività nel campo del patrimonio storico industriale.
During the early 1970s, following the institution of Italian Regions on the basis of the 1947 constitutional reform, the notion of cultural heritage was extended to include traditions and practices of work in agriculture, craftsmanship and industry, which had begun to be searched, collected and exhibited after the inexorable progress had turned agrarian post-war Italy into a modern industrial nation. IBACN was actively involved in debates about the didactic and museological aspects of the phenomenon since its very beginning, undertaking the survey, catalogue and preservation of materials concerning the topic, as well as conveying professional preparation and training. The work of inventory and catalogue of material already in care of museums began in the early 1980s, alongside with the preparation of courses on preservation and restoration of wood and metals, as well as on the methodology of restoration of the vast wealth of Italian rural buildings. At the same time, using similar criteria and methodology, notable progress was made towards the cause of preserving industrial heritage.
