Abstract
Il saggio è dedicato ai molti ‘nativi’ che sono i protagonisti nascosti dei piccoli musei etnografici locali, che non potrebbero esistere senza di loro. Nel testo vengono presi in esame, infatti, i diversi atteggiamenti della popolazione locale verso i musei, i motivi della loro diffusione ed alcuni aspetti del complesso rapporto tra ricercatore, studioso, progettista dell’allestimento e questi speciali protagonisti dell’impresa museale. Sono coloro che accettano di diventare donatori, operatori tecnici, informatori, attori che rappresentano se stessi nelle attività che il museo illustra, e anche guide per i visitatori. Tale impegno si accompagna alla consapevolezza di una missione sociale e culturale che si costruisce attorno alla percezione del legame che unisce le generazioni, i vivi e i morti, ma anche di quel legame ‘immaginato’ che unisce il singolo alla comunità e all’umanità.
The essay is dedicated to the several “natives” who are the hidden protagonists of small ethnography museums, which could not exist without their contribution. As a matter of fact the essay deals with the different attitudes of the local population towards museums, the reasons for the spreading of the latter and some aspects of the complex relationship between the researcher, scholar and designer and these special protagonists of the project and exhibition. They agree to becoming donors, technicians, sources of information, actors who play themselves in the activities shown in the museum, and guides for visitors as well. This commitment comes with the awareness of a social cultural mission that arises from the perception of the bond that links different generations, the living and the dead, but also of that imaginary bond that links the individual to the society and to all human kind.
