Abstract
In questo saggio l’autore fa una panoramica della situazione etnocoreutica in Lombardia basandosi sui risultati delle ricerche compiute fino a questo momento nella regione, comprese le ricerche da lui stesso portate avanti in Val d’Intelvi (Como) e nel Basso Mantovano. Nella prima parte del saggio vengono prese in esame le uniche due tradizioni ancora vive ed in funzione: le danze dell’Appennino Pavese e quelle di Bagolino e Ponte Caffaro in provincia di Brescia, che occupano una posizione centrale nei riti di Carnevale. Segue la descrizione delle danze osservate in altre aree della Lombardia, in particolare in alcune valli del Bergamasco e del Bresciano, in Val d’Intelvi e nel Basso Mantovano. Concludono il saggio alcune considerazioni generali su questo corpus di circa settanta danze. Corredano il saggio alcune foto scattate dall’autore tra gli anni ’80 e ’90.
In this essay the author gives an outline of the situation of folk dance traditions in Lombardy based on the results of the research carried out in this Northern Italian region so far, including the research carried out by himself in the Intelvi Valley (Como) and in the southern part of the province of Mantua. In the first part of the essay the only two traditions that are still alive are looked at, i.e. the dances of the Apennine area in the province of Pavia and those of Bagolino and Ponte Caffaro in the province of Brescia, which occupy a central position in the rites of Carnival. There follows a description of the dances observed in other areas of Lombardy, particularly in some valleys in the provinces of Bergamo and Brescia, in the Intelvi Valley and in the southern part of the province of Mantua. The essay closes with some general observations on this corpus of about seventy dances. Some photos taken by the author in the ’80s and ’90s have been included.
