Abstract
Questo è il testo dell’intervento tenuto da Daniel Fabre nel corso del convegno Cultura dell’infanzia e tradizioni cittadine tenutosi a Siena il 25, 26 e 27 ottobre 1996. L’oggetto dell’indagine etnografica presentata durante i tre giorni (infanzia, tradizione, spazio cittadino) viene osservato partendo dall’analisi della profonda natura del rapporto che i bambini intrattengono con lo spazio, ancor prima che con gli attori sociali che lo vivono e vi attribuiscono funzioni. Le possibilità di un’etnografia dell’infanzia vengono analizzate alla luce di tre nozioni: l’identificazione, la tradizione, la storicità dell’infanzia; etnografia che dovrebbe essere basata sulla ‘concezione cartografica’ dell’infanzia di Gilles Deleuze.
This is the text of the speech that Daniel Fabre held during the tryst called The culture of childhood and town traditions that took place in Siena on the 26th, 27th and 28th October of 1996. The topics of the ethnological investigation that have been carried out during those three days (childhood, tradition and city space) have been addressed starting from the analysis of the deep relationship that kids have with space rather than the relationship that they have with people having a social role in that space or that set that space’s rules. According to the author, the possibility of an ethnological study of childhood is due to three notions: identification, tradition and childhood’s historicity. As Fabre says, this ethnography should be based on the ‘concept mapping’ of childhood by Gilles Deleuze.
