Abstract
Il testo riflette sulle tematiche teorico-metodologiche dell’antropologia visiva e filmica, portate avanti dalla scuola francese di Jean Rouch e Claudine de France, rivisitando un articolo del 1987. Nei trent’anni trascorsi, importanti cambiamenti tecnologici sono intervenuti e l’autrice ha incrementato le sue riflessioni di esperienza pratica nella ricerca filmica. In un approccio d’esplorazione, l’osservazione filmica dell’antropologo-cineasta corrobora della sua analisi etnografica la propria messa in scena filmica. Il tempo, lo spazio, le tecniche del corpo ne sono i protagonisti. L’interpretazione etno-cinematografica restituisce una visione del ricercatore, costituendo quindi, come per ogni scrittura, un apporto d’autore. L’antropologia visiva e filmica si trova oggi di fronte alla possibilità di esprimere nuove forme narrative, filmiche e multimediali, che inducono anche a ripensare alcuni aspetti degli assunti teorico-metodologici della disciplina.
The text reflects, by revisiting an article of 1987, on the theoretical and methodological issues of filmic and visual anthropology as it is carried out by the French school of Jean Rouch and Claudine de France. During the last thirty years, in fact, significant technological changes have taken place, and the author has further developed her reflections through practical experience in film research. Through an explorative approach, the filmic observation of the anthropologist/ filmmaker corroborates the filmic ‘mise en scene’ of her ethnographic analysis. Time, space and body techniques are the protagonists. The ethno-cinematic interpretation returns a vision of the researcher, thus constituting, like it happens with the writing, an authorial contribution . The visual and filmic anthropology is now facing the possibility of expressing new narrative forms, both cinematic and ‘multimediatic’, that in turn lead to rethinking some of the theoretical and methodological assumptions of the discipline.
