Abstract
Come nasce, cosa contiene e intorno a quali nuclei tematici si sviluppa l’Archivio Sonoro Demo-Antropologico ‘Luisa Orrù’ (Asdalo)? Queste sono le domande che affronta il presente saggio, che ci restituisce anche come si sviluppa, in Luisa Orrù, attraverso proficue esperienze e collaborazioni, la sensibilità alla conservazione delle fonti e l’attenzione all’universo femminile, alla medicina popolare e al metodo biografico, senza tralasciare di sottolineare la grande importanza ricoperta dall’impegno didattico e dal coinvolgimento degli studenti nelle sue attività di ricerca. Di Asdalo vengono esaurientemente presentati contenuto e procedure di ordinamento, suddivisi tra tipologia di materiale conservato (sonoro, cartaceo e trascrizioni) e argomenti della ricerca, oltre a tutta una serie di dati descrittivi (lingua, Rilevatori e Informatori, località di indagine, ecc.). Il contributo si interroga anche sulle prospettive future di utilizzo dell’archivio sonoro proponendone la restituzione alle comunità di origine, la messa on line e l’impiego in ambito teatrale – riportando a scopo esemplificativo, per quest’ultimo caso, una serie di testimonianze di voci di ostetriche condotte contenute nell’archivio.
How was the Auditory Demo-Anthropological Archive ‘Luisa Orrù’ (Asdalo) created, what does it contain and around which themes does it develop? These are the questions that this essay tries to answer, and it also traces how in Orrù’s work, through prolific cooperations and experiences, the attention to the conservation of sources and to women, to popular medicine, to the biographical method is developed, without forgetting to underscore the importance of her teaching career and of the participation of her students to her research. The content and the organisational procedures of Asdalo are thoroughly presented, subdivided through a typology of material (auditory, paper, transcriptions) and research themes, in addition to a series of descriptive details (language, informants and researchers, location, etc.). This contribution also explores the possibilities of future use of the auditory archive, proposing its return to the communities of origin, online upload and the use in theatrical productions – talking about, as an example, a series of testimonies of obstetricians preserved in the archive.
