Abstract
L’articolo presenta al lettore il lavoro relativo al progetto ‘why we post’, portato avanti da un gruppo di ricercatori afferenti allo University College of London con capofila Daniel Miller. Il progetto si articola in undici diverse monografie, attraverso un’etnografia comparativa volta ad esplorare i tanti modi in cui i social media vengono utilizzati nel mondo e gli effetti di queste pratiche nella vita quotidiana.
The paper presents to the reader the work behind the project ‘why we post’, carried out by a group of researchers from University College London, led by Daniel Miller. The project is divided into eleven different monographs; the use of comparative ethnography allowed to explore the many ways in which social media is used around the world as well as the effects of these practices in everyday life.
